Privacy

The Gas Dynamics Calculator collects nothing.

It contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier and no third-party SDK. It makes no network requests of any kind — there is no network code in it to make one. Nothing you type into it, and nothing it computes, is transmitted anywhere.

What is stored, and where

Your own preferences — the gas, units and which quantities each module shows — are written to your operating system’s ordinary settings store, inside the application’s own sandbox container.

The application also keeps your recent calculations (the last fifty) and your saved flow paths in files in that same container, so they are still there the next time you open it. Clear History erases the calculation log; flow paths can be deleted individually in the application.

All of this stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. Removing the app from an iPad removes its local container. macOS may retain an app’s sandbox data after the app itself is deleted, so deleting the app alone should not be relied on as a secure-erasure method.

Buying

The application is sold through the Mac App Store. Apple is the seller: it takes the payment and holds the receipt, under Apple’s privacy policy and not this one. We receive no personal information from that transaction at all — not your name, not your email address, not your country. We do not know who has bought a copy, and there is nothing for us to sell or share.

If you write to us for support we will have whatever you put in that message, and we use it to answer you and for nothing else.
