ThermalOne provides 54 engineering thermodynamics calculators for iPad and Mac, with formulas, assumptions, manuals and export tools available offline.
| Area | What it is for |
|---|---|
| State & properties | Fix a water/steam state from any two of pressure, temperature, quality, enthalpy or entropy. Ideal-gas properties from NASA polynomials. Real-gas behaviour from generalised compressibility charts and four cubic equations of state. |
| First law | Process paths (polytropic, isothermal, isobaric, isochoric), closed-system energy balances, and cycle energy accounting — each solved for whichever quantity is missing. |
| Control-volume devices | Nozzles, diffusers, turbines, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, throttling devices, and transient filling/emptying of a vessel. |
| Second law & exergy | Reversible limits, entropy balances, isentropic efficiency, reversible steady-flow work, and a per-component exergy audit that ranks where a cycle destroys its own work potential. |
| Power & refrigeration cycles | Rankine (with reheat and regeneration), Otto, Diesel, Dual, Brayton (with regeneration, reheat and intercooling), vapour-compression refrigeration, and heat pumps. |
| Moist air | Psychrometric states, air-conditioning processes, and cooling-tower calculations. |
| Reacting systems | Combustion stoichiometry and products, reacting energy and entropy, flame temperature, chemical exergy, fuel cells, and equilibrium. |
| Design studies | Liquefaction, phase equilibrium, endoreversible power, thermal-radiation exergy, storage irreversibility, and entropy-generation minimisation. |
Each calculator states the model it uses and presents invalid or out-of-range inputs directly on the screen. The in-app Theory Manual records the equations, assumptions and limits used by the current build.
ThermalOne is an educational calculation tool. It is not offered for flight safety, certification, or critical engineering decisions taken without independent review.
Write to softwareone.support@gmail.com. Say which screen, what you entered, and what you expected. If a number looks wrong, include the exact inputs so it can be reproduced.
Reports that a result is wrong are taken seriously and checked against the reference sources rather than argued with.
Refunds are Apple’s to give, because Apple is who you bought from. We cannot issue one — we never receive the payment and are not told who paid it. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple Account that made the purchase, or open the App Store, tap your name and choose Purchase History. Apple decides the request under its own terms.

The application collects nothing and makes no network requests — there is no network code in it to make one. The full statement is on the privacy policy page.
