Sections, shear, torsion, Mohr — mechanics of materials, worked interactively. For macOS and iPadOS.
Eighteen screens. Every one is a live figure.
Drag a load along a span and the moment diagram redraws in the same frame. Rotate a stress element and the circle point travels twice as far, beside it, while you watch. Raise the shear on a section and the governing point jumps from the extreme fibre to the neutral axis — and the app tells you it did.
Results are verified against public-domain reference solutions — the NASA Astronautic Structures Manual, the Air Force Stress Analysis Manual, and MIL-HDBK-5J — and against an independent sixty-digit recomputation. The identities that must always hold are swept over thousands of parameter combinations, not checked at a handful of points.
The theory manual states every assumption and every limit of applicability, module by module. It is generated from the same specification file the application carries, so it cannot drift away from what the software does.
None of the three pairs shares any algebra with the other half of its pair. That is why their agreeing means something.
