Beam & Stress — MechanicsOne
Email softwareone.support@gmail.com. Please say which screen you were on and what you expected instead — for a calculation question, the inputs you used are usually enough to reproduce it.
Check the theory manual for that module first: it lists the assumptions and the range each relation is valid over, and many surprising answers are a relation being read outside its range. If the manual says the relation applies and the number still looks wrong, that is worth an email, and please include the inputs.
A dash means there is no answer, not that the answer is zero. Something it needs is missing, or the question has no answer as posed — a hole larger than the plate it is cut from, a beam with no span.
That is deliberate. Several screens compute a quantity two independent ways and print the difference. For a section with curved edges the two routes cannot agree exactly, and the app explains why on the spot.
Some questions genuinely have two defensible answers — which side of a width step, which axis a column buckles about, which point on a section governs. The app shows both with the reason beside each, and never picks one quietly. The wrong pick there is not a different answer; it is an unsafe one.
